Biography
A self-taught Bitcoin miner with years of hands-on experience in blockchain infrastructure, Shanon previously founded New Data Ventures and S&H Crypto Mining LLC, where he developed specialized testbed mining farms and contributed to building a global directory of cryptocurrency mining operations. At Compass Mining, he spearheads critical infrastructure developments ranging from off-grid natural gas deployments in Wyoming to massive multi-megawatt facilities in Iowa, North Dakota, and Texas. Notably, he recently directed the rapid energization of the 10 MW "Texas 8" site in Odessa and pioneered Compass's expansion into next-generation hydro-cooled mining technologies.
Before committing fully to the digital asset and energy sectors, Shanon built a diverse and robust foundational background as an award-winning business development professional. His multi-industry operational experience includes leadership roles across startup ventures and enterprise organizations with up to $1.3B in revenues. Shanon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Business Administration. He specializes in optimizing large-scale supply chain logistics, building high-performing operational teams, and identifying low-cost energy solutions to maximize uptime and network efficiency for retail and institutional miners alike.
