Prof. Ryan Peters teaches fintech, blockchain, and valuation at Tulane University's Freeman School of Business. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Wharton School and has published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and other leading journals.

He holds a PhD in Finance from the Wharton School and has published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and other leading journals. He is currently writing an undergraduate textbook on money, financial technology, and blockchains, with extended treatment of Bitcoin mining, consensus mechanisms, and the economics of compute. Alongside his academic work, he advises family offices on alternatives, including active positions across digital assets, digital mining and AI infrastructure, venture, and structured products.
